Where joie de vivre collides with unfiltered honesty.

How it all began...

In 2012, life handed me a plot twist I didn’t see coming—a rare autoimmune liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). While it was scary, it also gave me clarity: I wanted to write. I published My Grape Escape in 2013, juggling full-time work, motherhood to three amazing girls, and running our vacation rentals in beautiful Burgundy with my husband.

In 2017, I received the gift of a lifetime—a life-saving liver transplant thanks to my extraordinary friend, Nyssa. Her generosity allowed me to keep telling stories, and I haven’t looked back since.

From Memoirs to French Markets

Since then, I’ve written ten bestselling books in the Grape Series, each one filled with love, laughter, and a generous splash of French wine. I have also co-written an award nominating French cookbook based on my French memoirs, romcom and women’s fiction. My writing celebrates the messy, magical parts of life—with a big side of French charm.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me traveling, sharing snippets of life on Instagram, or working on my next big idea (usually with a café in hand). If you’re into stories that make you feel deeply, laugh loudly, and maybe dream a little bigger—bienvenue, you’re in the right place.

A Few Fun Facts About Me

Because life’s too short not to share the quirky stuff...

  • I’m Bilingual and Bi-Continental

I have both Canadian and French passports—and yes, I often switch between English and French mid-sentence (especially when cheese is involved).

  • My Love Language? Escargots

Forget chocolate. For me, pure joy is a plate of garlicy, buttery escargots paired with a crusty warm baguette. Très délicieux!

  • From Oxford to the Sorbonne

I earned an unused law degree from Oxford and studied medieval French literature at the Sorbonne (which absolutely shaped the way I write and see the world).
